News of our adventures

We've had an epic day today. The children showed us their team-building skills and resilience: lighting fires and building shelters; scaling the climbing towers and swinging on the zip wires and the 3G swing and doing a blindfolded obstacle course.

They've eaten well at lunchtime and at dinner and, after making robots and water balloon structures in our scrapheap challenge they got to fire their remaining water balloons at the (willing?) teachers.

Hot chocolate followed the scrapheap challenge and then everyone was back to their rooms for bed. Despite the children all planning 'midnight feasts'... 30mins later and not a peep from any of them! All sleeping peacefully after a brilliant day. Really impressed with them all today.

We've had a brilliant day today, the children have shown the adults just how muddy Year 4 children can get on a woodland walk! They built shelters, surprised themselves with just how far they can push themselves to go just that bit higher on the climbing platform, played a mini Olympics and amused each other (and the adults!) with their T-rex impressions and have been recognised for their exemplary behaviour around the centre and grounds.  They have been a credit to themselves.  They fell into their beds, exhausted at 9pm tonight and we haven't heard a peep since!
