Welcome to Riverview Junior School. My name is Mr James Kendall and I am lucky enough to call myself Headteacher of this wonderful school.
Our vision is simple:
‘100% of our pupils will be academically and personally ready for the
next stage of their educational career’
Our Curriculum Promise:
At Riverview Junior School we provide a diverse, challenging and inspiring curriculum that enables children to develop confidence, resilience and a sense of achievement at every level. All pupils will be taught the importance of individuality and the need to respect others and the environment - both local and across the wider world. We educate and enable the children of our future to grow into well-rounded citizens.
This vision and curriculum promise is delivered through five key aims:
We aim to share with you important information and to keep you up to date with what is happening at Riverview. This site is a useful way to get to understand what we can offer you, your child, your family and the wider community.
Our school is surrounded by green playing fields and trees and has wooden outdoor classrooms for children to enjoy learning in the open air. In addition to this, the school has recently added an outside, all weather sports zone, table tennis arena and established a Forest School.
Our school aims to treat all children as unique individuals who are encouraged to take a full and active role in their primary years to develop their emotional, physical and academic potential and become life-long learners with confidence, good manners and respect for themselves, others and their environment.
We hope that you will encourage your child to contribute to the life of the school and take part in and enjoy the many opportunities we offer.
We hope that your association with Riverview School is a long and happy one. We are very proud of our children and school and welcome visits. To arrange a visit please contact Mrs Baker on 01474 352620 or email email@example.com
